Tube Screamer mods for bass

My bassist has a TS9 which he wants me to mod for bass.  Anybody ever done that before?  Any ideas on what to change and new values for the bass?

And, the pedal is also missing the bottom plate.  Are those available as replacement parts anywhere?

What does he want it to do or not do that it is or isnt' doing or is doing now?
 The Incap might be something to change to smaller value if it's 'choking' on too much input from the bass...
  actually any of the caps in the signal path and even the polarized one that goes from pos to ground will change the way it works.
