puretube,
No - I haven't seen that Hurvitz freq shifter/spring idea... what is he trying to accomplish?

Another interesting Orban circuit is his parametric chorus simulator (using several band-limited freq shifters... simpler circuit than a wideband shifter). Apparently good for simulating a LARGE chorus.

Puretube,
Description + diagrams to be found on pg. 513-pg.515 of Hal Chamberlin's "Musical Applications of Microprocessors" 2nd ed. (but was also in 1st ed.) Author states that this was from notes made during an Orban presentation at JAES. Says that the technique uses too many parts to be considered for small chorus, but is very effective at making a single small synth sound like an auditorium full of small synths!
