I got my EQ magazine in the mail this week. It has a spot for informative websites, DIY, etc. GGG was one of the three picked this month.

Here's a scan at my site:

So, congrats! And I apologize if I'm the last to know about this.

Pardon my poor English. I'm American.

Wow! Congratulations, JD!
Your site started me in effect building! :)

Well done, JD!

The first DIY effect I built was a Muff Fuzz from your site.  runoffgroove.com wouldn't exist without your site's excellent information.

Congrats JD.  You can now give the kids a news clipping to stick in their scrapbooks.  Funny how in this day and age, being in print on paper still has a certain extra something.  Good.  Your efforts deserve it.

While it's nice to be recognized, I hope it doesn't result in the sort of increased traffic that will draw the attention of the ISP.  One of those unusual "prices of fame" of the modern era.

Uh oh, I hope you don't pre-pay or auto-pay your hosting bill through a checking account or credit card :) :)

Joe Walsh was supposed to have dabbled in effects once upon a time.  Too bad we can't get him to stop in here!  That should earn a mention in GP.

Any idiot can get free hosting, but you gotta be pretty good to get something printed in a magazine ;)

Thanks guys,

Looks like this is my "day" for fame, 15 minutes worth at least.  Check this out too, third page down.

(huge PDF file, careful clicking the link if you have a wimpy computer or connection)

This relates to a thread that PureTube started last month, can any one translate?

QuoteIn the article by Bernd C. Meiser regarding the Roger Mayer Octavia we used a schematic that was drawn by JD Sleep and published on his website. For technical reasons the name of the author didn't appear on the printed version - Sorry, Mr. Sleep, someone must have been asleep. Hereby, we would like to refer to Mr. Sleep's very interesting website, on which a great assortment of technical information and schematics can be found: www.generalguitargadgets.com
