Hi evryone!
I ve been fooling around with DIY FX a couple years now, and I think I passed thru all the typical phases, if there is such a thing. Built the easy, went for the better, tuned to taste, modded the stock and so on. Now I like to experiment a little more and sometimes I come up with something cool Id like to share with others but even here its hard to be specific without schems. So the question is, how can I write nice and neat schematics (on PC that is!) that I could post later here or anywhere else? I want to make them on GIF or JPEG or PDF format, which software should I use? Thanx for your patience and help!
May the yoghurt be with you.

Hal

I usually use Circuitmaker 6 Student.  I like the schemtics it makes.  They look like this:

I use PCB express for layout...even though I haven't made any PCB's ive played with laying out, though.

Peter Snowberg

I use ExpressSCH which is part of the free ExpressPCB package from:

You need a decent paint program to convert the BMP files it outputs into something more web fiendly.
Eschew paradigm obfuscation

I use eagle CAD now, but still draw schems "by hand" in PaintShopPro. Just looks better that way. Eagle is good for PCB's.
If you just want to draw schems you already have on paper, any reasonably good 2D graphics prog that allows you to cut-and-paste will do. Build your own library of parts, note what thickness of drawing lines you use for different bits (esp. the connecting wires), have a good grid/snap definition and go. A prog that allows working with layers is nice, but not necessary.

And some people use Ray Wilson's free editor:

Since he does our kind of stuff, that is what it is optimised for. Good one, Ray!
