Wah in front of tonebender?

Hey guys, I'm new here.  I just built a tonebender MKII professional, and when i try to put a wah in front of it, it doesn't exactly work properly. every time i sweep the wah while playing hard, the volume goes down, and then slowly up again, as if the pedal was "recharging." However, if my attack is very light, it seems to work alright.  Was this normal on the originals? Anyone have any solutions?  Thanks a lot,

BTW, i built this pedal according to the layout offered on http://fuzzcentral.tripod.com/benderII/mkIIlayout.gif, and everything is to spec, but i added the optional diode and pulldown resistor.

sometimes there is a impedance mismatch with fuzzes and wahs. try putting a buffered pedal like a boss or ibanez in between the wah and fuzz. it should help..otherwise add a output buffer on wah...works for me!
