Based on the Graphic EQ on my recording software this is the FREQ im trying to get

*Freq(Hz)*   *Level*
600           -24dB
1110          +20dB
15000         -24dB

this is pretty much boosting the MIDS but how u say it in KHz? (1110)
im trying to get it with GEOFEX's graphic EQ...

I guess you're searching for this:

*Freq(Hz)* *Level*
0.6 kHz   -24dB
1.11 kHz +20dB
15 kHz    -24dB

Mike Burgundy

what are the other parameters - such as Q? What does the curve look like?
There's a huge sonic difference between a mid-boost at 1k, and a general boost, with hard cutoffs at 600Hz and 15kHz..

i really woundt care if i have to cut or leave the lows and highs where they r as long as i get to achive a "TELEPHONE" like mid boost

this is how the curve looks like

go there and the last file is called "untitled.bmp" thats the graphic

for telephone sound, you basically want a brick wall high pass filter at 300Hz (perhaps even higher to simulate your phones crappy speaker) and a brick wall low pass filter at 3kHz.

Telephones don't "boost" the mids, they CUT everything else.

BTW, +20dB is a hugh amount of boost, do you really need that much?

ya, the filter i made gives 20db of mid boost in the 600-1000hz range.

KHz = KILOhertz.  To convert from any base unit to any kilo-unit, divide by 1000.  5000 meters = 5 km

etc.  Multiply to go backwards.
