They're manufacturing and selling the 1024 stage BBD chips for $3.75 each.  Much better than the $17 NOS option.

Yeah, I think these are the Shanghai-produced ones, you can contact the manufacturer directly for better deals (in big lots of course) .... I think Ton aka Puretube has done this .....
