Blend Control for on-board effect?

I installed a Bazz Fuss in my bass, and I would like to add a blend control to mix in some of the original clean sound.  Couldn't I use a very small-resistance pot, connect the out of the BF to term. 3, the original clean to term. 1, and make term. 2 the out to the jack?

Would this work, our would I just need to have 2 seperate volumes for each signal, and just wire my switch so they're both on?

I'm thinking that at 12 o'clock, I should get a 1/2 & 1/2 blend, and then more fuzz, or more clean signal depending on which way I rolled the knob.

Thanks for any help.

I need to think before I post.  Upon further thinking, I don't believe the first idea would work.  I'm open to any suggestions, though.

Thanks.

Both ways work. But you will need a volume pot between the Bazz Fuss and the blend pot.

The problem with putting a pot across the "Clean" and FX, and taking the signal from the wiper is this:
the clean signal is coming from a relatively high impedance (maybe 50K or so?? the pickup impedance).
So you will never completely dial out the bass fuzz.
Even if you put an active follower on the clean, it will still be hard.
What I would do, is put a simple 2-input mixer in there. That will give you any blend.

Thanks, guys.

Paul, I'm still a relative noob; what exactly did you mean by a 2-input mixer (part number, etc.)?

Thanks.

Wonder if oyu could also with a bass paralooper from http://www.moosapotamus.com in there?

Otherwise I have seen clean blend schematics on this board.

I meant an actual mixer circuit, for example the one from Jack Orman at AMZ:

or the even simpler fet one here: http://www.aaroncake.net/circuits/mixer1.htm
