dc dacks

right, i bought a couple of dc jacks for some possible projects, and am just wandering if they will actually be useful...

the supply i have says center negative, (and sleeve positive) but the jacks i have are full metal type jacks, and i think the sleeve is in contact with the enclosure fo the pedal, so are they any use to me at all? or will i need to find some insulated jacks?

You could use them with a rubber grommet - a barrier between the jack and the chassis.
