Trasperant and powerfull compressor for bass?

What compressor out there suite a bass guitar and is both powerfull and transperant?

YOu can get a Ross PCBoard from Fransisco / Tonepad.
 Once that came, It wasn't long or dreadful at all, then I had a DynaComp.
 Ppl say they cut highs too much for them, shouldn't be a problem, if used for bass, BTAIM [be this as it may], I think the Ross has less LP filtering [less highs rolled off/fewer parts]...both use same board.
 Can make some squash, is good and powerful compressors
 'Simpler' [fewer parts anyway], and more transparent is the Orange Squeezer.  May need mods or just 'Gakk' [nasty overloadtone], 'choking on higher voltage attack envelopes from input of a bass..Use of High Performance Chip will help, perhaps there are mods....[?]/

I don't think this compressor is instrument-specific.  If you notice it is, it probably wouldn't be too hard to modify the input capacitance.
