Cap value question ???

Would using a 100nf cap make a huge difference from using a 150nf cap in a circuit.

Depends where it's being used.  Can you provide a link to the schematic?

It's an input cap on a little booster type circuit, I suspect that it may increase the treble or at least cut the bass a little is this assumption correct ??

Input caps are prime candidates for sockets. Then it's easy to try both values.
