hi!

i have a multimeter but without transistor gain meter so no Hfe.
Can I test transistor gain with a circuit or everything else???

thanks

I've never built it
theres a FF Q picking tester at GEO, 'picking transistors for FF' or something like that...read, scroll, read, can't beat the info...links at top of page, click around...
 I just buy matched set[s from SB, [I got a range of Leakage tested GeQ's, Hfe's like 69 - 180Hfe...so I could try them].
Otherwise just using my FF board, and the Hfe [no leak check on it...] meter on my DMM to find good sounding ones.
I suppose it's time to try the FF Ge transistor testing unit...

The GEO method is a very good way to determine the Hfe of Ge transistors. Works great for me!  8)
