Volume pot
« on: December 21, 2004, 05:14:54 PM »

in the fuzz face circuit i'm trying to build it says the volume pot is -  'The Fuzz pot should be linear taper and the Volume audio taper.' ...does 'audio taper' mean its just a log pot instead of a linear pot??... is it an american phrase or does it refer to something else??

nope.

Log pots are well suited to audio applications because of several reasons, not least of which being that our ears have a logarithmic response, hence a log pot appears more linear to our ears... if you get what I mean!
