is on rev1 or 2 of SM-9 ?

Hi, my "real" SM-9 has two diode clipping pairs of 1N914's with a 47pf cap in parallel over them.
I removed both pairs and put in a single red 3mm LED in their place ( x2)
I thought it was too "compressed" with the 1N914's.
Doesn't quite answer your question, but may help ?
