Not here. You could search Yahoo for "Green Pre" to find some mic pres.
Pardon my poor English. I'm American.

Sometimes I build paper airplanes.  They always pull to one side and crash after like 5 feet, tops...

I've got to get passed the "9volt" thing, would love to build an LA2A compressor !!
Got the schem, just need the "chops" !!

Try reshaping or weighting them, or other mods.

I have a DIY condenser mic on the list of things to do. And a DIY ebow. And some other nifty studio gadgets...

Yeah... I wonder how much gain a paper airplane could have......

Are we talking altitude gain?

I'm going to try to build one of these next month from a new circuit design that I've been toying with...

Oh yeah, those tubes that have letters/numbers in them. I always thought those were really cool. I wonder how they do that?!

lightningfingers

I build valve radios. The oldfashined "hot chassis" style. I almost died once, so now i use transformers. :)

They're called Nixie tubes (named after a part number).  They are cold cathode gas-discharge tubes.  Pretty much, you put a high enough voltage (~170v) from cathode to plate, and the neon (ususally neon) in the tube around the cathode ionizes.  These have 10 cathodes, each shaped like a digit.

I also wanna make a clock soon :-D

and to answer the question, no, I do other stuff, too.  I thinkim gunna make a remote control light switch for my room soon.  I'm kinda interested in radio, even though I haven't done anything...I dunno, I do whatever i read about online, and some stuff I think about :-D

Paul Marossy

Yeah, Nixie tubes. I've read a little about them, but that has been cleared out of RAM a long time ago...

Anyhow, I think their quite fascinating to look at.  8)

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I was also thinking about building a balanced tube microphone preamp, too.

I've always been imagining Nixie tube indicators for control dials on amps since I learned about them :D

Then again, I could never sell one to James Hetfield since he always tries to hide his amp settings

 Oh wait, I can sell it with a Display Obfuscator (tm) (you guessed it, a black piece of fabric)

You can buy the clock kit, and add the radio...  :)

Well, I've built my own guitars from scratch and I've built my own computer recording studio from bits.  Building the amps and effects that go between them seemed the next logical step.  I've built several things over the years (digital delays, flanges, digital compressors, a/b boxes, a ton of custom switch boxes, etc...) but never anything permanant.

I would have been a ton cheaper to just buy the guitars and stuff that I use, but I have this appetite for tinkering and customizing everything that I come in contact with.

BTW, the nixie tube clock is way cool!

Building some of the stuff on this website (SID synth, Midiboxes...) has been the root cause for my DIY addiction...

When i moved into guitar stompboxes i initially wanted to build a MIOS/midibox-controlled guitar-effects rack...

yeah... maybe one day...  :)
