Ok this is crazy, I just noticed im getting 9V to both sides of the 500uF capacitor. The capacitor is not shorted so dont ask me that.

Can someone please draw out the schematic for me the way it is supposed to be because apparently the one that is posted has some errors. That would be much appreciated. THANKS

michael_krell

can someone be a hero and draw out the schematic the way it should be PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

puretube

You measured the 9V on both sides with instrument plugged into the input jack?

Im tired of fooling around with this crap, I just went to Jameco electronics and ordered 20 CA3080  IC's. Im going to replace all those mothers.

puretube

you`ll prob. kill all those mothers, and still won`t have a working pedal,
if you pin-to-pin replace the CA3094 (EH4800) by CA3080...

michael_krell

crap I forgot I need the CA3094's not the 3080's

I got a bunch of CA3094's and replaced them all and everything worked. I then one by one but the old ones back and found out that only 2 of the IC's were blown. YAY. its too bad its the first version that has a volume drop when you turn the color on.
