LPB 1 Fun !

Just made another one from "Torchy's" layout ( nice ) after giving one away as an xmas present.
Here's a list of subbed values:
R 1  1M
R 4  390R
C1/C2 220nf
BC549B transistor ( after an hour of trying EVERYTHING I had ! )

Result, great "clean" and "Full" boost up to 2 thirds of gain pot, then HUGE boost after, which makes my Matamp tubes sound glorious !!
Very, happy with it  
Those 549B's and 549C's are just great !!

btw...did you get the Sparkle Boost going ok ?

NO !
I think I have a "Bad" component or two, needed one in a hurry so built another LPB1.
My "electrolytic" caps are a bit "old" they my be the culprits !!!
I'll do another with tants, let you know.
