About caps, again !

HI !!!
I have just a little question...What do you think about "WIMA" caps, the red box style...are they good ? i mean, this caps and ceramics are allmost the only i can find here in Brussels...and again, thankx ! :wink:

i just searched it on the map, its really close to my school (rits in de Bottelarij in Rue Delaunoy)

I used to work on mil-spec stuff (back in the 80's before surface mount) and WIMAs were used almost exclusively for all analogue signal processing stuff, so I guess they must be reasonably good.

Yeah, WIMA rule, plus they often turn up in surplus deals, because (at least here in Australia) they were pretty common in "high end industrial" stuff (you know, stuff that you have no idea what it does, but looks horribly expensive!). Early telecom equipment sometimes has a bunch of 2.5% WIMA caps as part of tone decoding networks.
