Computer power supply as an enclosure?

I'm doing some temp work at my neighbor's computer store, and had access to a burnt out CPU power supply. I was thinking that would be a good candidate for a tube preamp or even full out tube power amp. It has a fan in it (if you need to cool anything), it looks cool, and is fairly solid. Has anyone tried this before?

In addition, I'm going to collect all of the soon-to-be thrown out hard drives. Th plan is to take 2, cut out the bottoms, and put them back to back for an enclosure. Tedious, but sweet.

Anyone done something like this, with or without any success?

I think at tonepads site, there's photoessay about converting a computer chassi to a tubeamp.

Not what you asked but almost.

As for the harddrives for enclosures, could work. Try it and post pictures.
