I've seen codes on Potentiometers, not huge ones just things like 100KB
what does the B stand for?

I believe it was on an alpha pot
thanks,
Ken

Convention creates following, following creates convention.

Khas Evets

A=audio taper. B=linear.

This doesn't always apply, but it works most of the time.

Unless they're Omeg pots, in which case it's the other way round!  :)

European ("Piher", etc.) have following designations:

"B" for audio or log.
"A" for linear potentiometer

Asian manufacturers ("ALPHA", etc.) use:

"A" for audio or log.
"B" for linear

Further, there is "C" type which is reverse log.
and so on...
