MN3007 vs. NTE1641

I have searched through a lot of posts but didn't find any direct comparisons.

So how does the NTE161 stack up to the MN3007?  Are they the same soundwise or is there a difference?

This is for a Small Clone project.

NTE does not manufacture any parts themselves.... they only re-label other parts, sometimes changing the date of manufacture code along the way. Sleazy people those NTE.

If NTE sells it as a 3007 replacement, that means it started life as a 3007 from another maker. With transistors you can make wild substitutions (and they do), but with chips.... it's a 1 to 1 match.
