Is it ok to mix 1/2 watt and 1/4 watt resistors in a circuit when one or the other is called for? Thanks in advance.

well, if it says 1/4 watt, you can use 1/2 watts.  they're usually a bit bigger though.  if it specifically says 1/2 watt, then don't use 1/4 watts.  they're just specifying the MINIMUM rating.

Theyll (1/2 watt will just look a little goofy there w the 1/4 watt ones. Other wise all good in resistor land.
