OK, I've been doing some research on how to modify my TS-9 to 808 specs and I'm pretty excited on trying to do this stuff myself intead of paying someone $50.00 to do it for me.  I ordered a new IC and socket from smallbear and a TS resistor kit containing two resistors.  Is that all that is needed for replacement parts?
BTW, I ordered two different resistor kits, one metal film (which I assume is the stock mod) and the other was the composition set (would this be the so called brown mod?)  Thanks!

Yep, that's all there is to it.

Welcome to modern merchandizing.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

I just did a mod for a buddy, and just before that I A/Bed it with my modded 808. I didn't remember how differant it was... these 2 resistors ment a weak sound from the 9 and such a punch to the (tube's) face on the 808...

only two resisrors...
