I guess we need to factor in the Genomic impact of which distortions we use.  I think Joe Davidson's have the most positive affect on mine.   8)

What they don't mention is that touring reverses all beneficial effects.  If you play behind either of the Simpson sisters or Britney Spears, playing a guitar actually starts to become a risk factor for early mortality.
