Purple LED's ???

Are purple led's available commercially anywhere in Australia ?

I've seen transparent computer fans that have purple led's in them, but I'm just after the led's themselves.

I do have a UV led, which is purple, but isn't good to look at for too long. I got it from Jaycar.

I've tried an RGB led, but the best I can make it is pink, rather than purple.

I guess they'll be available soon, but any help appreciated.

These are called UV leds. They are black light leds. In regards to a place that stocks them, I really don't know. I think JayCar (only australian supplier I know) may have them.

i think mouser has them.  for example, there's some violet super brights on page 70 of the new catalog.
