Hey guys...

I have 2 small sized speakers intended for 100w 4-8ohm use on a Hi-Fi system.

I have conencted them to my PC and get a 'speech level' voulume out of them when all PC volume settings are on full...

I was wondering if someone could direct me to some sort of build that would be able to amlpify the sound from my pc to the speakers so that I can get loud volumes...

Thanks in advance guys...

Well....I'm no expert...and someone will correct me if I'm off base...but...
Perhaps the Ruby (2 of em) at runoffgroove.com would do the trick.
They'd distort if cranked up all the way.  But if you ran them at 12 volts...they might do the trick nicely. Anyway...an easy, cheap build...and great for guitar practicing at bedroom volumes (also will feed a full sized cab w/great break-up).

A couple of small mono power amplifier kits (a few watts should suffice) and a suitable power supply will meet the requirements. Check out CPC (//www.cpc.co.uk) or, if desperate, Maplin (//www.maplin.co.uk).
