this is panasonic_youth in disguise, i cant log on for some reason, anyway.  just got my 3 sample switches from carling, and i must say, i am impressed. but how can one wire up their DPDT switch?  its one of those that looks like this
SIDE VIEW:
                                                       ----
                          stompswitch---->    I   I
                                                ---------------
         soldering lugs------->   O=I                 I=O
   (one in front, one behind)        ---------------
                                                   H          H
    soldering lugs -------->              O         O
    just those two, not 4

thats about the best i can do, i hope it suffices.  there are 6 lugs in total, 4 on the sides and 2 on the bottom. i just need a bypass diagram.  thanks!

EDIT: after looking at that, my beautiful text art was a waste of time :cry:
its the kind w/ 4 lugs on the sides (two protruding from the left and right sides) and 2 sticking out of the bottom.

Use your meter, set to ohms.

Find out what lug connects to what other lug in each position.  Make a drawing.

The rest is obvious.

And from now on, you'll be able to figure out any switch.

OK, go look at http://geofex.com/FX_images/stompsw.gif instead of learning.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Well... what did I do wrong?  I have a really cool image of the Carling switch I created in Corel.
