Max input to a PT2399? anyone know/want to guess?

Hi.  

I recently built 2 circuits. 1 is a delay with a pt2399 and the other is a crash sync.

So i set it up like this...

guitar--> crash sync--> PT2399 delay--> amp

And now the delay does not work (it was super before hand). I know the crash sync has a large output. Is it too large for the pt 2399 chip? or is it possible the chip is failing for another reason.

Any help appreciated.
