Alternative 3-way selectors?

I need a 3-way selector, but I'm running out of real-estate in my box.  The rotary switches are huge - is there any way to rig a 3 position toggle to switch between three inputs?  Any other ways to do this?

Two possibilities:

A three position slide switch. I have found these at TV/sterio repair places. They are a pain to mount because they need a rectangular hole plus two extra holes for the mounting screws but they are usually cheap. They can also often be scavanged from trashed boomboxes and the like.

There are sp3t and dp3t switches available that look like dpdt and 4pdt centre-off switches. A single or double jumper is required for 3 throw operation. They are easy to mount and small but they are expensive (around $10 each IIRC) and probably will have to be special ordered. Check the switch catalogs at your local electronics supplier.
