Thanks once again Andy and Torchy for the "fix"
I've posted a "three fuzz day" subject which covers this, but all I can say is "WOW"  this is a nice "Hi Gain" sort of "Plexi" sound !!
Well worth building  :D

did you use "this" layout ?   it'd be nice to have this one "verified".

It just goes to show that it's very easy to make a mistake on veroboard, which is why I always "test as I go".
