i don't know if it is mentioned before but did you check out the new much much cheaper version of AC-30 on the vox site?
What do you think of???
I wonder what contributes to the low price?
the korean industry?
maybe pcb boards?
has anyone tried one versus the real thing?

Can you provide a link to the Vox Site ?
I searched and had to email to get a price, didn't see any AC30's....tried 4 stores online...saw alot of emulator, valvetronic, pathfinders 'n stuff like that.
They seem to go to lots of tube troubles to make an SS amp work...
They have a 12ax7 feeding an 'output amp', loaded by some speaker load emulator, [all that for processing] then to some output section...pretty interesting, wonder how well it's being recieved...hafta lookup at HC and see if any posts about 'em.

They don't list a price but do talk about the amp's features.  I can't find any prices online either.  I'm curious to see what the price difference is, and and also to see what sacrifices have been made in order to lower the cost.

Theres a more detailed overview of the new Vox's construction and pricing here:

I lik the tubes mounted in the Chasis again. And the whole thing looks to be very versatile-  the output bias switches etc look very interesting. I've heard on one or two forums of people who have tries them, and I haven't heard a bad word about them. If I manage to get my hold on £500, I'll probably be getting one! (Depending on how the reviews are when it comes out, of coruse.)

Thier tubey pedals look quite intreguing too...

Those amps look great.  I bet we're gonna be seeing a lot more vox amps in circulation.

If you get one I doubt you'd be worrying about the price, but still, how much for one ?
Looks like they're using tubes, and one of those probably could deliver whomping tones to a DIYer, or by itself N/P. [would be my guess].
Also looks to be constructed like an AC30...who wouldn't want one?

well i've read what they say in their site and looks really interesting
i am curious to see how do they manage to get nice tube tone (as they say) with low-voltage.

music123.com has them listed for around $1000 US - looks like they'll be shipping March 25.

They're also making both a 1x12" version (an AC-15 with a bit more kick on tap) as well as 2x12s with new Vox-branded speakers or Celestion blues.

The 1x12 is going to be pretty nice for those of us living in apartments.

And they all have Master Volume and blendable channels.

Very cool.
