Doy you know how to make the repeats sound brighter-not so muddy?
Or does anyone here has a datasheet for the PT2399 chip?

Thank you all.

Thanx for that. You see, I'm losing trebles dramatically as compared to the bypass :(
Even the "original" (not the repeats that is) signal sound muddy.
Any solutions? Anyone encountered this problem before?

Joep

Hi Constantin,

The 10n cap (0,01) right above the orange 15k resistor  is responsible for the treble cut, I lowed the value to 3n3 (0,0033) to make it brighter.

On the PCB it is the 10n cap on the bottom right corner.

Hope this helps,

OK, I have that one removed completely. I also have disconnected the caps in the feedback loops of the op-amp. But, this thing still cuts highs. And I play a stratocaster. If you do too, you'll know why I'm so concerned about trebles. maybe it's the resistor after the input cap? I heard that the series resistance in the audio path cuth not only the signal in general, but the trebles of it mostly.
Some more investigation on the way.

BINGO!!!
And now for all of you who care to know...

Replace the input cap with 0.013 mF, replace the series resistor with a 1M trim, the neg input-output loop resistor (1M originally) with 470k resistor. Tune the trimmer to match the clean volume.

Hi Constantic,

Did you still left out the caps you mentioned in your previous post?

Thanks,

Joep

Yes. I left out the 0.01mF capacitor too. Ilke the sound better that way.
The stock sound is more for bass.

Joep

Thanks, I'm gonna try the mods soon.
