I put a Carling DPDT in my 250 and it seems to pop abit now when engaging. I tried a 1 meg from input to ground and it didn't seem to do anything. {that's where I saw one being put on the Distortion + schematic} Is there a better spot for this resister?

I think you put it in the right spot. Maybe try another 1M from output to ground? The pop could also be due in part to the switch, but I'm guessing it's new.

Does it pop all the time or just when the gain is cranked up?

When the gain is up you can hear it more.  Do these added resisters change the impedence or effect the tone in any way?
