I was just wondering if anyone here in Britain had built a Small Clone Chorus?  If so, did you find the parts here or did you have to order from suppliers in the US? Its the CD4047 and MN3007 chips that I was having difficulty finding. Neither Rapid or Maplins seem to have them.

If you really can't find them, smallbear is your best bet, cheap and he has exactly what you need.

For BBD chips and the like, big electronics stores are not the way to go IMHO, BBD chips are rarely used these days, and you need to find a electronics store which can order lots of stuff. My local electronics store is great, he ordered a MN3007 which set me back â,¬ 8 and he had everything else I needed for my small clone.

I ordered all th parts for the small clone to http://www.banzaieffects.com/europe/index.html
They're based in Germany and have a very good customer support and very fast delivery, I'm in France at the moment and it took 5 days between the moment I ordered and the moment I got the parts.

MN3007: 10â,¬
CD4047: 0.27â,¬

Cheers guys. smallbear is looking very tempting as always...

I have just found this company (in the UK) http://www.dialelec.com/index.html.   They stock the CD4047 and the MN3007 apparently - and a lot of others.

Anyone used them before?

Torchy

About ten minutes from me (in Washington). I'll check them out ;)

nice one torchy, i look forward to hearing about your experience (it would be nice to have a good supplier on our doorstep - im from darlington way - but Smallbear might work out cheaper still cause of the exchange rate? I dunno)

cheers
