I'm trying to find a simple RF filter design that I can do on perf and then place in front of my wah.  I know it is a simple concept, and I remember reading about it here, but searching hasn't turned up much...

How do I make a simple RF filter?

Paul Perry (Frostwave)

The first step is to put a ferrite bead over the input wire, as close to where it comes into the box as you can. (note RF can get in thru the power supply wiring as well, but if you are using batteries & picking it up, then it's most likely the signal input).

that's a good start, but what else can I do? isn't there a simple cicuit I can slap together? Is it just a low pass filter that I need to chop off the highest frequencies, or what?

yes, a simple RC low pass filter will probably do a decent job. Centre it at 20khz maybe.
