Marshal Tone Dip

I was messing with the Duncan Tone Stack to get the response that Seymour Duncan (coincidence?) uses with a Marshal on his guitar pickup demo's.  I figure he ought to know how most folks set them.  Bass 10, Mid 4, Treble 4, and Presence 5.  He ends up with a 5 db dip at about 850Hz, plus some bass boost. This is not a very big notch.

Using a notch filter with .01uf and .02uf and 15K resistors approximates that.  Some hi-end may need to be rolled off for the presence simulation.

I am experimenting with it between the 2 stages of a dual op amp distortion.  It cuts the gain some, but that can be fixed.

My plan is to use a TS type asymmetrical first stage to sim a soft clipping tube pre-amp and a Distortion + (LED's) second stage to sim a harder clipping output stage with the filter inbetween.  Pretty simplistic, but sounds good so far.  8)
