Thinking about an onboard overdrive

I'm thinking of replacing my "blace ice" clone I have installed on my axe's tone knob (a push-pull) with Joe's Easy Drive or other 9-volt powered device.  Anyone have any comments or better ideas?

You'd need to use the push-pull switch in the same way as a 'true bypass' footswitch to operate an active circuit (and use a stereo jack socket to switch the OD off).

I'd personally choose the Peppermill or Blue Magic meself...

cool.  sounds easy enough.  I doubt I have enough room for the peppermill or blue magic, but thanks for the input!
