i think that can speak for itself. does anyone think it would be worth it?  if anyone can find thoes 50 cent jacks aron speaks of on his parts page, please tell me.

If you are looking for 1/4' jacks my favorites are the Neutrik 229 and 230 jacks.  $.80 each if you buy more than 10.  They are tougher than the Switchcraft jacks.  Mouser also has these.

If you are looking for $.50 jacks I have some I could part with.  They aren't the best but better than Radio Shack carries.

nah man, keep your jacks. thanks for that link, though.  on arons parts purchasing page, he says that that one store has 50 cent jacks, but i cant for the life of me locate them.

ive used kobiconn jacks from mouser and theyve worked out fine, they seem rather tough. the tip sort of flares out towards the bottom so it seems pretty solid. as i recall, they were pretty cheap from mouser.

Hosfelt.com but I'm not sure if they are the same now.

Search for: 85AC

I can't tell without a picture.

I guess those might be OK, but I just use Switchcraft now. I will try those Neutrik next I guess.

Cheap 1/4" jacks?

www.electronix.com

do a search for 1/4 jack.

Prices range from $0.25 apiece to $0.34 apiece, depending on what type it is.  Quality of said jacks?  Unknown, I've never bought any from them, but Electronix has gotten a lot of my 'original stompbox IC' bidness.  They're a reliable company to order from, if that's any help......

Scott

Wow, thanks DiyFreaque! I don't know how you guys find all these parts stores. I only live about an hour from Fairborn and I've never heard of them! Next time I'm down that way I'll check them out.

It comes from having a wife that keeps track of every invoice, and has no compunction about reminding one that the total cost of parts purchased over the years equals or exceeds the price of one nice off-the-shelf synth/stompbox.  :D

Take care,
Scott

Have you tried www.allelectronics.com they're really the only site I've used since I found them a while back.  Awesome deals on everything.
It's people like us who contribute to dead fx pedals selling on eBay for what they'd cost new!

DiyFreaque

Oh, yes!  All Electronics is where I pick up coaxial cable, jacks (I use 3.5 mm on my synth) and other goodies, including my patch cords.

Cheers,
Scott
