rat problems need help

i am fairly new to all this
i have a rat that no longer works, it will by pass and the led is on, but the distortion channel is barely audible when engaged
anybody have and ideas where to start to troubleshoot the problem?

I seem to recall someone saying they were pron to having the pots come loose from the board.  Might check that and re-solder if necessary.
