Every time i switch my idiot wah from bypass to effect it drops 50% in volume, but when i bypass it goes back to the original volume. I can't seem to find a reason for this. Any Ideas?

several ideas... but it depends on a few things.

Has it done this since day one or has it recently happened?

Could be simply that there's an incorrect resistor somewhere that's affecting the gain stages... low supply volts... wrong coupling resistor etc etc.

any more info?

its happend since day one (when i hooked up the switch)

It could be because of a resistor so i'll go over that, but i'm pretty sure its not.

I switched the 220pf cap with a 270pf on because that was the only one i had but i don't think that would effect it.

It could be that my battery is low so i'll try a new one.

i'll keep you posted.
