I'm always in trouble with my EA tremolo from ggg.
The sound goes through but there's no trem effect at all. only a clean boost. I've try as i saw in the forum to change the pinouts of Q2
i use 2n5457 as Q4 and Q2 and 2N3904 as Q1 and BC 560 as Q3
I've check my cap
I'm wondering if it 's not because i use ceramic capacitors.
I'M GOING MAD
It's not my first project i've done dozen of fuzz and tremolos ???!!!
What's going on ?
I've check the voltages
Q4
g varies 2.97 to 0
s 5.6
d 8.89

Q1
c 6.08
b 1.37
e 0.82

AND I THINK THE PROBLEM IS HERE

Q2
G 00000
D 0.30
s 00000
AND HERE
Q3
c 0000
b00000
e00000

So i've try to change each one of those transistors i mean Q3 and Q2
But nothing change I've try to change the pinouts too
Maybe could someone give me the voltage of it's own to help me
Did someone have made this pedal with ceramic caps ??? Let me Know
I really miss the point but it's shure that i've check every thing twice and more and my brain is dropping through my ears
Thanx for those who will dare answer me

Sorry for my bad english !!

Well Benfox you just gotta have some voltage on the collector of Q3 because without it it just won't oscillate.Check you have power on the resistor above it that goes to the power supply line and lift one end to see that its actually 15k.If you can get voltage to that collector and the oscilatting circuit is right then the thing will go and turn that fet on and off with the low frequency waveform applied to the gate and so vary the earth resistance to the output transistor.Good Luck.
Monkey see, monkey do.

DOESN'T work HELL
My resistance of 15k was dead ?? but it change the values of Q3 but doesn't make it work Now Q3 is
C 8.80 v
B 2.81 v
e 000

Q2
G 000
S 000
D ooo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ARGH !
I really don't catch it maybe something burn ???
HHHHHHHHHHHHEELLLPPPPPP
Thanx for your help Sean    but i'm still in the mud  :(

benfox,
i have built a couple of htose for friends. each one i built had different ghosts.. the last one that i build had to have a 47uf cap going to the drain of the jfet to work properly.. it took me about 4 months to figure that one out.. :(

also the jfet orientation on gringos layout is different from the perf layout pinout..

hope this helps,
be well,
