is a XR2206 oscillator article (in German) but, there is a strange pot that I'd like to know more about! Is it from a motorised fader, or is it a standard item?

These pots were used in old tv-sets for channel tuning and are similar to spectrol trimmers.  The difference is spectrol use cermet-, this one uses carbon tracks and is bigger in size.  But the prinzip is the same.

Look for an TV-set of the end-70s and maybe you will find about 8 such potis in the channel-switch called "Preostat"

thanks analogguru! I guess these controled the varicap tuning diode. needless to say, the equivalents in the sets made in Australia were pretty crap compared to these :cry:
