I would like to get unity gain out of it (its a true bypass version)
and it has a little to much white noise when its on.
I read thru all the posts I could find and I think the pot I need to adjust is the top right one (looking at the back of the pedal) but wondered if someone could confirm.
Also if anyone knows any tricks to get unity gain without dist. that would be great. I emailed howard davies but he isnt doing repairs for awhile.

I believe the trim pot you refer to (top right) adjusts the high frequency content. Turning it clockwise will stop SOME of the hiss...and make your repeats muddier.  However...always mark where it was (in case I'm wrong).
The layout changed a bit over the years...and my units are all old.  None of the others will do anything besides make it stop working completely.  You cannot get unity gain by changing the trimmers.  It has a built in pre-amp (buffer?)...and it's beyond my knowledge how to take that out of the circuit.
