Ok, I must admit Zvex took my attention with his nano but I have once try a Siegmund tube preamp with that same 6021.

I have always worked with 12ax7 and I have some good design here but these stompbox are huge and heavy, somewhat too big to bring two of them in gig. I still use an overdrive and an ampeg style pre for my Bass and yes, sometimes I really want them to be more compact (Ok guys, I need half the room for my stompboxes...lol).

I wonder if it's possible to use the same power supply (250V B+ but less on the plates) and tweak the design. Maybe it's better to rethink the whole thing with that tube caracteristics ?

This 6021 seems to have a µ of 25, whereas the shitto-classic 12ax7 shows a µ of 100, it seems impossible to fit in a 12ax7 design.
