single control active tone w/noninverting opamp

OK,

So I'm picky.  but I have a stompbox that has a crappy active tone control in it and would like to redesign / mod it to get a better tone control.

anybody have any schematics or suggestions for a single tone control in the negative feedback loop of a noninverting opamp?

(I have found a few designs for the inverting opamp.  can I just mod these designs to run to ground instead of the signal input ?)
