Hey hey,

I built the true bypass loop box on the first page of the forum and the switching works famously, however, the LED stays on whether the loop is engaged or not.

My ego says me I thoroughly traced all my solder points for shorts. The only thing I can figure is that I'm using a TS male plug on the effects input side, which will short the ring and sleeve once the plug is inserted in the jack. Do I have to use a TRS connector to make the looper work correctly?

Thanks all.

Hmmm the switch should break the connection when the loop is disengaged. Perhaps you could post a picture of your inside wiring? Whatever it is, the problem is isolated to the wiring of the LED.

Hey Aron,

I currently do not have an account on any public servers to post an image to, so I'll just remove the LED circuit and re-solder it (more carefully).

Thanks again.

Hey All,

After some scruntiny I learned that my 3PDT stomp switch was NFG.

I swapped it out for another switch, (always helpful to buy parts in quantity) and viola, the loop pedal works swimmingly!

Peace.
