I'm getting close to building one of these.

The vibrato comes from the concert reverb. But like most Fender amps the vibrato is actually tremelo. I looked at the circuit briefly and it looks like a different trem/vibe circuit than what is in my Super Reverb.

So is this thing a vibrato or a tremelo?

Anyone ever build one of these?

How many different trem ckts did fender use. The brownfaces are different from the blackfaces ect..

Did they ever make a real vibrato?

Tremolo.

Three. One that modulated the cathode of a preamp tube, one that slightly biased the power tubes, and the opto based version which most of their amps used.

They made the Vibratone which is a leslie. I'm not sure if they made a vibrato amp. They might have. I can't remember right now.
