I have done the 5 star mod on two of my sd-1 pedals.  I noticed one sounded alot louder and richer and more alive. So I started to peek around the and noticed that on the better sounding one I had , a long time ago and forgot, did a SD-1 to TS-808 mod, but not fully. The difference was on the one with the 808 mod  i had removed the .01 cap (C6) changed R17 (100k) to 10k and changed R16 (1k) to 100ohm. I also did to the newer pedal and it came alive also!  These additions made the 5 star mod even better. So what did I do? What do these parts I changed with the 808 mod effect?

Khas Evets

I wish my mistakes were always this fruitful.

Removing C6 out of the feedback loop of the second opamp will allow more high frequencies to pass through.

The two resistors are part of the output buffer and can be best explained by the master himself, R.G.
