Shaka 5 / Ugly Face build report

I perfed both up this weekend. I really like the Shaka's "fusion solo" tone, really a cool, versatile pedal with a real cool tone control (almost like having 3 pedals!). The IRF510's look way funny on the perf board but they sound really good! I can tell Jack's AMZ OD Pro and Shaka 5 are going to be used a lot. Both great sounding pedals. On to Tim's Ugly Face: this has to be the most cool, interesting and fun pedal I have ever built. I did the "bagpipe" mod and got the correct Vactrol from Dan N (thanks Dan!!). The wide range of sounds and effects are staggering !!! I love this thing!! Almost all the sounds are very useable. Thanks again to Jack, Aron and Tim, very cool stuff.

Cool. The Shaka series has some good sounding stuff in it. I built the Shaka Express and the Shaka Tube and like both of them quite a lot. Anything Tim Escobedo comes up with is a firecracker, huh?  :wink:
