what is stripboard and veroboard?

what is stripboard and veroboard?  I see a lot of it on the forums, and I'm sure it is something along the lines of a pcb method, but I want to know.  thanks.

Both are made of parallel strips of copper on a board with holes drilled on a 0.1" pitch.  Please try searching for more info.

I did search, i even googled for "what is stripboard?" and it came back with no results and suggested I spell stripboard as "storyboard"
